One interesting observation from writing these seasonal reports is that the transit deemed most “popular” online keeps getting referenced by the Ascendant of the Seasonal Chart cast from the Equator.
Last month during Aquarius Season we had Leo Rising, with Pluto Cazimi coming into stark focus. This time around we have Taurus Rising, which suggests that the upcoming Venus Retrograde is the one we should pay attention to.
Without sugarcoating it, having Venus serve as the “steerswoman” of the month while in such a state isn’t the most thrilling scenario—even though Venus in Aries promises a certain degree of excitement. The challenge with this placement is that Venus in Aries lacks the temperance that Libra embodies. While Venus in Libra is keenly aware that there’s a time and place for everything, Venus in Aries will want what she wants, and she’ll tend to want it now.
That isn’t a criticism for those with Venus in Aries; in fact, this ambition can be quite useful, especially given where Venus currently sits at the beginning of the season. Despite being in detriment—or somewhat out of place—in Aries, Venus still occupies a few degrees in the sign she calls her own. In this chart, Venus is in the 7th degree of Aries, a position where she is said to be in her own terms. This should remind us that while Venus may be experiencing some distress, she’s certainly taking action.
Understanding the Venus Retrograde in Aries
As mentioned earlier, Venus in Aries can be all about your Wants and the immediate pursuit of those. During Pisces season, our cravings and manias can be expected to reach an all-time high. It might be easy to get distracted by fleeting pleasures and exciting ideas, and you may even feel tempted to drop everything to pursue that one thing Venus in Aries is pointing you toward.
For some, this can be a very constructive energy. For others, these impulses might steer you off course—especially considering that Venus will go retrograde later in the month, likely changing her mind about many initiatives begun in late February. I’d pay special attention to romantic and creative endeavors since Venus is said to be the spirit behind these activities. Knowing your chart can help narrow down the effects of this astrological transit, while also highlighting constructive ways to work with it.
The primary takeaway for this Pisces season is that Venus will remain largely fixed in this part of the zodiac, making it important to bring clarity to our passions. With Venus mostly in her own terms throughout the month, the answers may come from the yearning itself—or you might discover where this mania is pointing you by tuning into the Venusian themes constantly present in your life.
Perhaps you’ll find yourself obsessed with a new band, aesthetic, a fresh and exciting exploration with your partner, or even a fleeting romance. Although the excitement surrounding these topics might be transient and unreliable—making you question whether any lasting impact will follow—the sheer catharsis they offer can provide a deep well of inspiration. The key to making the most of Pisces season is to take things a little less seriously and allow yourself to embrace that craving for danger or rebellion, while also being aware of your own limits.
Another notable aspect of this transit is that, while Venus remains mostly in her own terms throughout the month, later on she’ll begin “exchanging terms” with Jupiter. In other words, both planets of good fortune will be working together, despite limited resources. This suggests that people facing similar challenges in your life could serve as valuable teachers.
Sometimes our friends aren’t the best guides when it comes to our romantic or reckless escapades, but this Pisces season seems to offer a different perspective. Jupiter in Gemini implies that there’s plenty of help available to sort through various options and find what truly works for you. In other words, while you might be a Venus in Aries—super excited about something that’s clearly a bad idea—a Jupiter in Gemini friend could help you see just how unfavorable that option is by presenting other possibilities.
In summary, this Pisces season with Venus in Aries Retrograde might not be the time to commit, but it can be an excellent opportunity to survey the landscape of options until you find that one thing that truly lights you up or scratches that itch.

The image I chose for this month features a woman looking through a terrarium containing roses. She sees her reflection and leans forward for a kiss.
At first, this image might surprise you. We spent so much time discussing Aries that, for a moment, I even forgot we were in Pisces season. What I aimed to capture with this image was a moment of self-infatuation.
Lady Venus, seeing her reflection intertwined with the roses, appears grander and more beautiful than she really is. This month, there’s much to learn from—yes, it may sound cheesy—falling in love with yourself again and tuning out the constant, needy external world. Yet, leaning in for that kiss, as Venus does in the image, will break the illusion, leaving her with nothing more than the cold touch of glass on her lips. However, if she maintains a certain distance, the image can serve as a powerful inspiration.
Most Important Day for Your Rising Sign: February 17th - 23rd
Aries Rising: Tuesday & Friday
It might sound like there's a lot of focus on you—and that's probably true. Despite retrograde being more emphasized for you than for other signs, this Tuesday promises to ease some of the tension. However, because this help comes from a part of your chart that deals with hard work, you’ll have two options: either delegate and share some of your burdens, or work twice as hard to make things work. There isn’t one clearly superior option, but given how slowly Mars—your representative—is moving right now, it might be best to take things slow at first.
Taurus Rising: Friday
Venus is getting wilder and wilder, and you might be feeling some of that energy too. While this Friday doesn’t seem particularly eventful, it might be wise to heed those warnings and avoid being tempted by the thrill of danger. Safety first, Taurus!
Gemini Rising: Wednesday & Thursday
This week’s Mercury and Jupiter mutual reception is very beneficial for you. Use Wednesday and Thursday to make significant strides forward, especially in your career. Just be cautious, as this transit is better suited for looking ahead—it’s more of a closing chapter that makes room for something much more exciting coming in June.
Cancer Rising: Monday & Tuesday
This week might feel a little heavy, but that’s okay. The Moon-Mars mutual reception earlier in the week can give you the energy to toughen up and get down to business. Still, it’s important to have a creative outlet to cleanse your palate, so to speak. Monday’s transit is perfect for that.
Leo Rising: Sunday
Now that the Sun is out of Aquarius, things might feel a little different for you, Leo. While this isn’t quite your season yet, Sunday’s beacon of hope can be very useful. Keep in mind that the hope and optimism of this season isn’t something to rely on as much as a way to momentarily forget your troubles. Sometimes we need to be hopeful simply because it feels good, not necessarily because everything is running smoothly. Your season may not be here yet, but it will arrive sooner than you realize.
Virgo Rising: Wednesday & Thursday
This week’s midweek mutual reception is very fruitful for you, especially since it occurs in an area of your chart that deals with partnerships. The image chosen for Wednesday should really resonate with you. This might be a time when friction between you and your partners—romantic or otherwise—yields great results. While the week might not resolve every shared problem, a solution could very well be revealed.
Libra Rising: Friday
Things are heating up for Venus, but the wishy-washy sextile between her and Jupiter might be testing your patience. This could represent a message you’re waiting for or a quest to settle your relationship into a routine. Regardless, be careful not to let the frustration of anticipation get to you. As mentioned earlier, things will eventually settle—just be prepared to wait a little longer.
Scorpio Rising: Tuesday
This week’s mutual reception between the Moon and Mars is especially helpful for you. With the Moon in your own sign, expect a mind-expanding experience that could provide insights on how to extricate yourself from a tough situation. It might require some work and venture into unfamiliar territory, but with a little flexibility, you’ll be able to move to the next phase of your story.
Sagittarius Rising: Wednesday & Thursday
Mercury and Jupiter collaborating this week can be pretty awesome for you. However, Thursday is a bit more complex than for the other signs, as you’ll have the Moon opposing Jupiter, your planetary representative. This opposition can add a layer of fear and insecurity that might be hard to shake. Although getting advice from someone who’s proven unreliable in the past might seem daunting, giving them another chance could reveal something new that changes the game.
Capricorn Rising: Saturday
This Saturday’s transit is especially tricky for you. It’s occurring in an area of your chart that governs your day-to-day affairs, making it harder to land deals. Errands might become messy, and you could run into obstacle after obstacle. If you have many plans, it might be best to allow extra time. Be especially wary of getting stuck in traffic.
Aquarius Rising: Saturday
You might find yourself playing the role of Lady Saturn dealing with a sketchy salesman this week. While that doesn’t necessarily mean people are after your money, you should be extra careful when making new purchases this weekend. Even if you’re not encountering thieves, buying today might cause you to miss out on a bargain that could be a steal later.
Pisces Rising: Wednesday & Thursday
Midweek is looking great for you. With Mercury transiting Pisces, people are more likely to listen to what you have to say—especially at home. This week might be an ideal time to hold a family meeting and get everyone on the same page. If misunderstandings have lingered over the past months, now is a good time to clear the air.
